By bringing to fore a multi-disciplinary approach, where a team of psychiatrists & clinical psychologists try to understand you as a person, we help in sensitising and empowering you to work towards a positive change.
Here at Abhaya, we begin with detail assessment of the client by either the consultant Psychiatrist or other mental health professionals followed by checking of the blood pressure, oxygen saturation and weight. Then, according to the requirement of each patient, psychological assessment is conducted. The case is then discussed by one or two consultant psychiatrists, following which, the treatment is administered. Pharmacological treatment is also often combined with adjunct psychotherapies. We also offer various counselling services like marital and family counselling, child guidance, educational and career counselling, etc. The department comprises of a team of Psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychologists, psychiatric social worker, and psychiatric nurse. We therefore follow a truly bio-psycho-social model of treatment, which we discuss with the patients and their families.
